01General principles
1.1. EduAshy provides digital educational Courses through one-time purchases funded from prepaid Account Balance. We do not charge recurring subscription fees or automatically top up a user's card.
1.2. There are two separate transactions: (a) an affirmative Visa or Mastercard payment to add funds to Balance, and (b) a later affirmative Order paid from that Balance. A Balance top-up alone does not purchase a Course.
1.3. A refund of unused prepaid funds is not the same as compensation or statutory reimbursement for a faulty Course. The right procedure and payment destination depend on the reason for the refund.
1.4. Nothing here removes rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 or any other mandatory law applicable to the customer.
02Refund of unused paid Balance
2.1. Refundable funds. You may request a refund of the portion of your Balance that was actually purchased with your money and remains unspent and available. The Balance does not expire merely through non-use.
2.2. How to request. Email info@eduashy.com from the address connected with your Account. State that you request an unused Balance refund and provide enough information to identify your Account and relevant top-up transactions. Do not send your full card number or CVV by email.
2.3. Verification. We may request information reasonably necessary to confirm Account ownership, original payment ownership, prevent duplicate refunds or fulfil binding legal obligations. We will explain material issues affecting the request.
2.4. Where the money goes. A valid unused paid Balance refund will be initiated to the original card or other original payment method used to fund it, normally in the original transaction currency. Where multiple top-ups contributed to the unused amount, the refund may be allocated among the original transactions in a reasonable, traceable way.
2.5. Unavailable original method. If the original method cannot receive a refund, contact support. We will discuss a lawful, verifiable alternative method that does not compromise fraud controls or your statutory rights; we do not promise that every requested destination can be used.
2.6. Timeframe. We will initiate an eligible unused Balance refund within 14 days after receiving the request and completing any reasonably necessary verification, unless applicable law requires an earlier deadline or a binding legal restriction prevents processing. The time when funds appear on the card depends on the card issuer and payment networks.
2.7. Charges. EduAshy does not impose its own administrative fee for an eligible unused Balance refund. Issuer charges, banking delays and differences arising from currency conversion are outside our control where law permits.
2.8. Non-refundable credits. Promotional, trial, complimentary or goodwill credits, if introduced and clearly distinguished from paid Balance, have no cash redemption value unless expressly stated or required by law. This does not permit converting paid money into non-refundable credit without the customer's consent.
2.9. Amounts in dispute. Where a top-up is reversed, fraudulent or subject to a genuine chargeback or binding legal restriction, we may temporarily withhold the affected portion while the matter is investigated. Undisputed paid funds must not be retained without justification.
03Cancellation before Course production starts
3.1. You may contact us at info@eduashy.com to cancel an Order before substantive AI generation or human Course preparation has started.
3.2. Under our voluntary pre-production cancellation policy, we restore the full Order amount to your Account Balance if we confirm that no substantive work has begun. That amount retains its status as paid Balance to the extent originally funded with money, and the unused paid Balance refund procedure in Section 2 remains available.
3.3. Where applicable law entitles you to a direct monetary refund for cancellation, you are entitled to the legally required payment method and timing; we will not force you to accept Balance credit instead.
3.4. AI generation may begin shortly after Order confirmation. We cannot guarantee that a pre-production cancellation request will reach us before processing starts. The statutory rules in Section 5 remain applicable even if work has already begun.
04Cancellation after production starts
4.1. Once substantive preparation has begun, we do not offer an unconditional voluntary change-of-mind refund. We assess requests in light of the applicable statutory cancellation rules, stage of work, any required consent and whether the contracted Course has been correctly delivered.
4.2. For AI Course Builder, generation may complete quickly. Delivery of digital content during a statutory cancellation period affects the right to withdraw only where legally required express consent, acknowledgement and confirmation conditions are satisfied.
4.3. For a Mentor-Crafted Course, human preparation may take several hours. Where a Consumer validly requests performance during the statutory cancellation period and later exercises a continuing withdrawal right before the service is fully performed, an amount proportionate to services supplied before cancellation may be payable only to the extent permitted by law and subject to the required disclosures and consents.
4.4. If production has finished and a compliant Course has been supplied, we ordinarily do not grant a separate discretionary refund solely because the user changed their mind, no longer wishes to study the topic or prefers another style. Mandatory withdrawal and conformity rights always prevail.
05Consumers' statutory right to cancel
5.1. For many distance contracts concerning services or non-physical digital content, Consumers ordinarily have a 14-day cancellation period beginning after the day the contract is made, subject to applicable exceptions and variations in law.
5.2. Starting services early: Where the applicable regime requires it, a Consumer must expressly request that preparation services begin within the cancellation period and must receive the required information about potential payment for work performed and any loss of cancellation rights following complete performance. The right may be lost upon full performance only if all legal conditions are met.
5.3. Supplying digital content early: Before supplying non-physical digital content during the cancellation period, we must obtain the Consumer's prior express consent to early supply and acknowledgement that the statutory right to cancel will be lost once supply begins, and provide the legally required confirmation. If these conditions are not met, the Consumer may retain the right to cancel and may not be liable for the supplied content in circumstances specified by law.
5.4. No assumed waiver: A checkmark accepting general Terms, submitting an Order, asking for personalisation, paying from Balance or remaining silent is not by itself a legally sufficient waiver of statutory cancellation rights. Separate affirmative controls and durable confirmation must be used wherever legally required.
5.5. Hybrid service and Deliverable: A Course Order may involve preparation services and supply of digital content. The effect of cancellation depends on how the contract and supply are legally characterised and performed. We will not apply a blanket “no refunds on digital products” rule where it contradicts applicable consumer law.
5.6. How to cancel: Send an unequivocal statement of withdrawal to info@eduashy.com before the applicable deadline. Include your name, Account email and Order reference. You may use the optional form in Section 11, but it is not compulsory.
5.7. Statutory refunds: Where money must be refunded under consumer law, we will reimburse it within the legally prescribed timeframe, generally within 14 days of being informed of a valid withdrawal, using the same payment means where required unless the Consumer expressly agrees otherwise. A Balance credit will not be substituted for a monetary refund where doing so is prohibited or the required agreement has not been given.
5.8. Consumers outside the UK may benefit from additional or different mandatory cancellation rules. Nothing in this Policy is intended to reduce those protections.
06Defective, incomplete or undelivered Courses
6.1. A Course should correspond materially to its confirmed description, selected configuration and delivery commitments and meet applicable statutory standards.
6.2. Examples of potential problems include an unreadable or corrupted PDF, a missing or substantially incomplete Course, the wrong subject or language, a material failure to include purchased features, or a delivery failure caused by our systems.
6.3. If there is a problem, email info@eduashy.com with the Order reference, a concise explanation and, where appropriate, an image or example of the defect. You are encouraged to report issues promptly, but reporting promptly is not a condition that removes statutory rights after an arbitrary number of days.
6.4. Depending on the defect and legal remedy, we may repair, correct, regenerate or replace the Course at no additional cost, or provide an appropriate price reduction or refund. Where statutory rules require repair or replacement within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience, those rules apply.
6.5. If a legally appropriate remedy is impossible, disproportionate, unsuccessful or not supplied within the legally required standard, a monetary refund or price reduction may be due. We will not require endless regeneration attempts where law provides a different remedy.
6.6. If an Order cannot be completed or delivered after reasonable troubleshooting, we will offer the legally appropriate remedy, including reimbursement where due. Delay alone is assessed against any binding agreed deadline and applicable rights; published estimates do not eliminate those rights.
6.7. A user's preference for a different tone or a new topic is not automatically a defect. However, describing an error as “AI-generated” does not excuse a failure to provide content meeting the contracted description or mandatory statutory standards.
07Duplicate, failed, reversed or unauthorised payments
7.1. If a card top-up appears duplicated, fails to appear in the Balance or is processed for the wrong amount, contact info@eduashy.com with the approximate payment date, amount, currency and transaction reference if available.
7.2. We will investigate with the payment provider and correct proven errors through appropriate Balance adjustments and/or refunds. We will not make an additional card debit to resolve a shortfall without a separate authorised customer payment.
7.3. If a payment is charged back or reversed, the corresponding credited Balance may be adjusted to avoid double recovery. Where there is a pending dispute, the affected amount may be temporarily unavailable while the issue is reviewed.
7.4. You are not required to waive a lawful chargeback or card-scheme remedy. We encourage contacting support first because many issues can be resolved without a formal dispute.
08Refund currency and settlement
8.1. When an unused paid Balance refund is made, it is normally traced to the originating top-up and initiated in the original transaction currency to the original card or source method.
8.2. For a refund related to a Course purchase, we will determine the appropriate financial transaction and method so that statutory reimbursement is made lawfully, including where a Course was purchased using funds from more than one top-up.
8.3. We do not promise that the fiat amount visible in a different currency after a refund will equal the earlier converted display value; third-party currency conversion may affect the amount received. We do not charge an undisclosed exchange fee.
09Account closure and remaining funds
9.1. You can request Account closure by emailing info@eduashy.com. We will identify remaining paid Balance, pending Orders, payment disputes and any required verification.
9.2. We will process valid refunds of unused paid Balance in accordance with Section 2, even when the user is closing the Account. We do not forfeit paid Balance simply because the Account is closed or inactive.
9.3. Lawful obligations, outstanding claims and record-retention duties may survive closure. See the Privacy Policy for data-handling information.
10Questions, complaints and mandatory rights
10.1. Refund and cancellation contact: info@eduashy.com. Please describe the request as “Balance refund”, “Order cancellation”, “Defective Course” or “Payment issue” to help us identify the correct process.
10.2. We aim to resolve complaints reasonably and fairly. You may pursue legally available complaints, chargebacks or court remedies if the issue is not resolved.
10.3. No term in this Policy prevents a Consumer from relying on rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, regardless of the wording used in a product description or Website notice.
